ISC, SINGAPORE GCE O Level Preparatory Course The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination is an annual examination in Singapore. The GCE O level is a worldwide recognized qualification and its examination is set by the University of Cambridge and the Singapore Ministry of Education. In addition, it is an academic pathway for students to: enter into pre-university / vocational institutions, junior colleges, polytechnics and tertiary / matriculation studies in most Australian, New Zealand and British universities. The examination is usually taken by students at the beginning of their fourth year in the Singapore secondary schools at age 16. Preparatory Course for Primary Schools This tutorial course for primary schools is designed specially to prepare students to enter into local government primary schools and eventually take the Singapore-Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). The Singapore-PSLE Examination is an annual examination in Singapore. In addition, this course will also help students to: develop full confidence in the local school final examinations know how to apply useful techniques in the examinations solve problematic questions and derive answers in the past-year exam papers Target Students/ Admission Requirements Both the local and overseas students must be at least 8 years of age or above as of the 1st of January of the Academic Year. students must have completed at least primary one education or its equivalent. students must at least study basic English and Mathematics previously. Course Syllabus/Content (state details including topics, areas to be taught, etc.) English (First Teacher) Mathematics (Second Teacher) Total Course Duration/ Weekly Instruction Hours Total Course Duration: 6 months/ 360 hours Weekly Instruction Hours: 15 hours Monday to Friday: 3 hours per day |
